Chicago Faucets was founded by Albert C. Brown in 1901. Brown later invented the Quaturn Cartridge in 1913 that worked with water flow to make it easier to open and close spigots.
The company was hit hard during the Great Depression but managed to survive after becoming an exhibitor in Chicago's 1933 World's Fair. During World War II and the Korean War, Chicago Faucets manufactured nuts, bolts, screws, and parachute hooks to aid the war effort.
Today, as part of the Geberit Group, Chicago Faucets produces manual faucets, electronic sensor faucets, drinking fountains, pre-rinse fittings, glass and pot fillers, and much more.
